Intermediate Dance Classes in
Aurora, Colorado
Challenging, supportive training for dancers ready for their next step.
Sea to Sky Dance Company offers intermediate dance classes for kids, preteens, and teens in Aurora, Colorado who have previous dance experience and are ready to continue building their technique, confidence, and performance skills.
Our intermediate classes provide dancers with the opportunity to take on more challenging choreography and technical skills while continuing to strengthen the fundamentals behind them.
Whether your dancer is joining us from another studio, moving up from beginner classes, returning to dance, or looking for a new place to train, we'll help find the right placement for where they are now and where they want to go next.
Who Are Intermediate Dance Classes For?
Intermediate classes are designed for dancers who already have a foundation of dance training and are ready for increased challenge.
Dancers do not need to be competition dancers to participate in intermediate classes at Sea to Sky. We welcome recreational dancers as well as dancers interested in performance and competition opportunities.
Because every dancer develops differently, placement is based on experience, technique, and readiness, not age alone.
Not sure whether your dancer is beginner or intermediate? That's okay! Our instructors can help determine the class that will provide the right balance of challenge and confidence.
Intermediate Dance Styles
Intermediate dancers at Sea to Sky can continue developing across multiple styles, including:
Jazz • Contemporary • Lyrical • Ballet • Hip Hop • Musical Theatre • Tap • Performance Training
Class availability and level may vary by style and season.
Intermediate training goes beyond simply learning harder choreography. Our dancers continue strengthening the technique and movement quality that allow them to progress safely and confidently.
Classes may focus on:
Turns, leaps, jumps and traveling skills
Strength, flexibility and body control
Musicality and dynamics
Choreography retention
Performance quality and stage presence
Improvisation and individual artistry
Movement transitions and floorwork
Technique specific to each dance style
Our goal is to create well-rounded dancers who understand both how to perform a skill and the technique behind it.
More Than Just Weekly Classes
Dancers who want additional opportunities can continue growing through Sea to Sky's performance and training programs.
Depending on age, experience and placement, opportunities may include performances, competition teams, solos and duos, specialty training, workshops, and additional technique classes.
Participation in these opportunities is not required to take intermediate classes.

What Will My Dancer Work On?
A Supportive Place to Take Dance Seriously
We believe dancers shouldn't have to choose between high-quality training and a positive environment.
At Sea to Sky, intermediate dancers are challenged to work hard, take corrections, develop independence, and continue progressing while training in an environment where they are encouraged and supported.
There is room here to have goals.
There is room here to make mistakes.
And there is always room to grow.
Already dancing somewhere else? You don't have to start over.
We regularly welcome dancers with previous training and can help determine which Sea to Sky classes best match their current experience and goals.
