-
We offer classes for a variety of ages, beginning with preschool dancers and continuing through elementary, middle school, high school, and adult programs. Class placement depends on both age and experience. As long as their potty trained, we have a class for them!
-
Yes. New dancers may schedule a trial class before enrolling so they can meet the teacher, experience the class, and make sure it feels like the right fit.
-
Absolutely. Many of our dancers begin with no previous experience. We offer welcoming classes where beginners can build confidence, learn foundational skills, and progress at an appropriate pace.
-
Start by considering your dancer's age, interests, and previous experience. Our team is happy to recommend the best class based on their goals and comfort level.
-
Yes. Many students take multiple styles to become more versatile dancers. Ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, tap, pom, musical theatre, and other classes can complement one another.
-
Our class offerings may include ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, tap, pom, musical theatre, worship dance, preschool dance, adult dance, and competition training.
Availability may vary by season.
-
Placement is based on age, experience, maturity, and current skill level. Some classes are open-level, while others may require teacher approval to ensure the dancer is placed in a safe and productive environment.
-
Yes. We offer recreational dance classes for students who want to learn, perform, and enjoy dance, along with competitive training for dancers seeking a greater level of commitment.
-
Not every dancer is required to take ballet, but we strongly encourage it for students who want to improve their technique, control, balance, alignment, and overall strength.
-
That depends on their age and goals. A beginner may start with one class each week, while dancers seeking faster growth or competitive opportunities may benefit from taking several classes.
-
Dress requirements vary by style. In general, dancers should wear fitted clothing that allows teachers to see proper alignment and movement. Hair should be pulled away from the face, and dancers should bring the correct shoes for their class.
Specific dress code information will be provided after enrollment.
-
Dancers should bring the shoes required for class, a water bottle, and any personal items they may need. All belongings should be clearly labeled.
-
Tuition is billed monthly and is based on the dancer's enrollment plan. Families may choose from different class packages depending on how many classes the dancer takes each week.
-
Tuition is due on the first of each month. A card on file is required, and families are responsible for keeping payment information current.
-
Monthly tuition reserves the dancer's place in class for the full season. It is not calculated by the number of individual class meetings in a particular month.
-
Unlimited enrollment may be available depending on the current season and program offerings. Contact us for current pricing and availability.
-
In many cases, yes. Enrollment remains open as long as space is available and the class has not progressed too far for a new dancer to join safely and successfully.
-
Consistent attendance is important because each class builds on the previous week. Missed classes may affect progress, placement, choreography, and performance opportunities.
-
Make-up options depend on class availability and the reason for the absence. Families should contact the studio to ask whether an appropriate make-up class is available.
-
Classes begin on time. Arriving late can cause dancers to miss important warm-ups and instructions, so we ask families to arrive early enough for dancers to be fully prepared when class begins.
-
Parent viewing policies may vary depending on the class and time of year. Limiting regular observation often helps dancers focus, build independence, and connect with their teacher.
Special observation opportunities may be announced throughout the season.
-
We require written notice before withdrawing. Families should review the current studio policies for notice requirements, recital-season commitments, and any applicable fees.
-
Most enrolled classes participate in our annual recital. Participation expectations and important dates will be communicated during the season.
-
Costumes and performance-related expenses are typically separate from monthly tuition. Families will receive pricing and payment information before costume orders are placed.
-
Recital participation is strongly encouraged because it allows dancers to celebrate their progress and experience performing onstage. Certain classes or programs may require participation.
-
Depending on the season, dancers may have opportunities to perform at community events, festivals, studio showcases, recitals, and competitions.
-
Yes. Sea to Sky offers competitive dance opportunities for dedicated dancers who want additional training, performance experience, and team involvement.
-
Competition requirements may vary by season. Dancers should have a foundation of prior training and be able to learn choreography in a structured audition environment.
-
We consider technique, musicality, performance quality, work ethic, coachability, attitude, commitment, and the dancer's ability to learn choreography.
Technique matters, but it is not the only factor.
-
Our teams are designed to support dancers at different stages of development. Placement is based on the overall needs of the team, age, readiness, and commitment rather than one skill alone.
-
Competition dancers attend required weekly classes and rehearsals and are expected to practice outside the studio. They also participate in competitions, performances, team events, and additional rehearsals when needed.
-
Yes. Competition families should expect additional costs for registration fees, costumes, shoes, tights, team apparel, photos, travel-related expenses, and other required items.
